The Biggest Risk for Golfers

Golfing events usually starts from nine o clock in the morning until three in the afternoon. It is the time when the glaring sun gets its intense heat. It is sometimes neglected that its power manifest from its strongest ray to the heated wind that dry-burn everything under it. The combination of both gives the high risk of damage and painful effects for the golfers’ skin, hair, scalp, neck, ear, arm, and more, name it. You got it. Playing golf therefore, requires the wearing of personal protective equipment to avoid the destructive heat and the glaring brightness of the sun.

Professional golfers understood that sun protective hat or cap provides them an advanced stance over players who do not wear this kind of safety get-up. Being aware of the risk and the effect that could cause, some players are cognizant that the sun poses the biggest risk for them and should be treated with respect. Although they are bound to be exposed under the heat, they are protecting themselves against the damaging sun’s dangerous ray. Wearing sunglasses, hats or caps or the combination of both is not sufficient to fight the heat and glare, but at least it can help minimize the harmful effect the sun ray could bring about. No golfer wanted to have a cataract in their old age, or skin cancer or even just sun burns.

Sports hats can give you sun protection. It could also provide you a better chance of hitting a good shot on the course. Head gear should be worn for health and safety and not only for the sake of fashion and trends. However, there are many types and classes of hats to choose from, but care should be the utmost consideration to be taken to ensure that your chosen style is suitable for you. There are hats that are very attractive and can provide extra protection for the face, neck, ears and eyes. These are called the wide brim hats. They can be very cool to wear because they are made of cotton and some are polyester. These types of hats are light weight. Another type of golfing hat is the bucket hats. They are very comfortable one that can provide you protection you from the sun and the wind. Another lightweight hat that has a sweat band inside to prevent perspiration to fall on to the face is the peak caps.

No matter what type of hat you choose for the golfing game or elsewhere under the heat of the sun, always protect yourself, especially your eyes and skin from the dangerous sun ray.
